To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, the Superintendence for Architectural Heritage and Landscape of Umbria presents the traveling photo exhibition:
"The Umbrian landscape from early 900 to the Present"
Opening in Spoleto, Rocca Albornoz Friday, July 1st at 18.00
The exhibition will remain at the headquarters of Spoleto until September 30 and then moved to Gubbio, at the Palazzo Ducale, until October 31.
As part of the exhibition will be shown a video with a fade effect between the landscape of "yesterday" and today.
The theme of the landscape has been chosen as part of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy with the aim of promoting the country as an expression of realities and specificities of all the regions that make up the landscape as door with himself, becoming the sole element, the signs of local identity.
The initiative is the starting point of a course of study and that disclosure will have a place for reflection with a conference to be held in the month of September as part of European Heritage Days and will conclude at the end of October, at the Palace Ducale in Gubbio, an international conference still being defined.
The objective of this course is to describe, building on the more immediate one, that is, perceptual offering the comparison between two images, the dynamics of Umbria through inconsistencies and weaknesses of transformations, often a phenomenon of indices constant and sometimes slow tampering, or good practices territorial. To do this, it is considered necessary to undertake and keep alive the dialogue between the representatives of the local institutions and representatives of the cultural and scientific in order to detect the complex regulatory application problems pertaining to the protection of the territory and its landscape.
